The RIMS Group has set up the, to bridge the gap between the knowledge acquisition courses of the universities and the real time needs of industry. Programs are held in the fields of Management, Information Sciences and Technical Services, for a large cross section of the society, which includes in-service personnel in the industry and the government organizations, graduate and under graduate students. To give practical meaning to its efforts the CAI has been providing training facilities to the students and faculties.
WORKSHOP ON “TEAM BUILDING” at RIMS
Prof. Dr. Sukanya Ray from USA conducted a One day workshop on “Mobile Application Development” at our RIMS campus on 9th January 2015.
The program onsets with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by the geeta chanting by the Acting Chairperson Mrs Nalini Prava Patnaik and one minute silence was maintained.
Dr Arya Patnaik, the President RIMS welcomed the gathering and wished Happy New Year-15 to the august gathering and highlighted fundamentals for the full fledged development of qualities of a student other than study and examination. Also introduced the novel concept: Continuing Academics Initiaves(CIA) of RIMS,followed by Dr. K K Patra, Dr. Sreekumar and Prof. B. Panda who highlighted the mission and vision.
Prof. Sukanya Ray initiated the session with some fundamental question to the student about their happiness and soreness. To her opinion psychology is nothing but to understand a human being. The culture of team building starts from school and goes up to university through college and other socio-educational institutions.
Prof. Sukanya Ray interacted with student questions like who is most inspiring in student’s life so far and collected different answers such as parents and teacher for their hard work, simplicity, inspiration, devotion and dedication. She also discussed the reason why we fail to build up team. After a good deal of discussion and debate she concluded that there are three essential required for team buildings are Trust, Communication and Conflict. Trust is the foundation on which team can take its course, communication binds the members together and conflicts among the members strengthens the bond.
In the second session there was a healthy interaction with the students about the practical problems that they encounter while building team. Those points are the failures of trusting oneself, trusting other people, lack of interaction, failing to study other groups, fearness to speak being apprehensive about others mockery, inferiority complexion, lack of appreciation, inability to connect with the topic and subject matter.
Finally, she summed up with the effective tips to overcome the hurdles of team building by encouraging both students and faculties to convert the negative points into positive measures. They are acceptable involvement, connection with faculties, lauding, smiling, eye-contacting are the tips for healthy spirit of team building and positive appreciate.
WORKSHOP ON “ MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT” at RIMS.
Mr. Bikram Ray from USA conducted a two day workshop on “Mobile Application Development” at our RIMS campus from 18th of January to 20th January 2015. The workshop intended to start from fundamentals and by the end of the session the participants learnt development of Mobile Apps.

Mr. Ray is currently working with Cloud and Mobile Solution Architecture in Global Company HMI, Boston Massachusetts. He is a native of India and has been trained and worked in India, Australia and USA. His computer science education is from IIT Kharagpur, Macquarie University Sydney and Boston University. He has been working on very large enterprise solutions at various global companies like Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Unisys, National Informatics Center (NIC) and Air India. He has been a senior consultant, researcher and educator in cloud and mobile solutions. He is the cofounder and CEO of MAI, designed developed paperless initiative of USA Government which saves more than 200,000 USD annually just on paper cost. In India MAI has long list of clients with Reliance Telecom, Nalco and Jindal. His interests are Cloud Solution and Big Data Analytics. He has been actively involved in educational training, community outreach services to strengthen computational competence and community technology awareness programs in collaboration with universities and researchers in USA. He has been offering various Cloud and Mobile solution classes in Sawyer School of Business at Suffolk University. He has been presenting in various international conferences on cloud solutions. He is Microsoft cloud grants recipient for the year of 2012 and 2013. Honorable Deve Gowda, Ex-Prime minister of India, awarded Hind Ratna for his entrepreneurial achievements.

A team of Business Development Executive from IIM Calcutta Representative and Makeintern conducted a two day workshop on “Digital Marketing” at our RIMS campus on 1st and 2nd of March 2015. The workshop intended to start from fundamentals and by the end of the session the participants learnt tits and bits of “Digital Marketing” by Resource person of the workshop”Mr Atul Chugh”

Faculty Development Program on Cloud Computing
Tata Consultancy Services,ION Pride faculty development program was conducted on 1st March 2017 and was coordinated by Prof Bibhudendu Panda on the topic “Cloud Computing” where 7 Faculties participated in the training program and at the end of the training session all faculty members got the certificate.
Smart India Hackathon 2017' is a pan India 36 hour nonstop digital programming competition. The participating teams will simultaneously compete from across 33 locations in India to offer digital yet sustainable innovative solutions to solve real time challenges faced by the nation. It will harness the creativity of millions of bright young minds.
RIMS MCA Department’s student team (CAIRIMS) Led by Pooja Rani Babu participated in the competition (Grand Finale) on 1st and 2nd of April 2017 at Nodal centre GSS Academy, Noida. The program was organized by MHRD, AICTE, NIC, MY Gov,persistent.
